We enjoyed working with our longtime friend, Scott Stoll, on a short documentary about River's Edge Lavender Farm. We are thankful for our friendship and mentorship with Victor Gonzalez from Victor's Lavender, and we love our celebratory ciders at Cockrell Hard Cider. We know where we belong... at the Puyallup Farmers' Market!
We had a wonderful time at Studio 13 Live! Thank you, Mireya, Carly, and the entire FOX 13 Seattle Team for making this a great experience for our small business!
Established in 2022, River's Edge Lavender Farm is located on the edge of the Puyallup River. Guided by the expertise of world-renowned lavender farmer Victor Gonzalez, our lavender is carefully harvested for use in high-quality, all-natural health & beauty products.
Supports Sleep: Studies suggest that lavender can improve your body’s melatonin levels, supporting a better night’s rest.
Reduces Pain & Inflammation: Research has shown that lavender essential oil can help reduce headache pain.
Helps With Anxiety & Depression: “Lavender is known for its ability to calm the nervous system, lift the mood & even lower blood pressure,” says Dr. Lin. “Research links lavender usage to less anxiety & depression."
Relieves Menstrual Pain: In one study, women who smelled lavender for 30 minutes a day during the first three days of their period had less pain after two months. Other research has linked applying lavender essential oil to the abdomen with less menstrual pain.
Kills Harmful Viruses & Bacteria: “Before we had antiseptics, people used lavender to clean hospital wards,” explains Dr. Lin. “It’s still used for its antimicrobial and antiviral properties,” showcasing the timeless benefits of lavender.
Reducing Colic Symptoms: Studies found that aromatherapy massage using lavender essential oil was effective in reducing colic symptoms in infants, including how long they cried, a technique that can also be embraced by parents.
Traditional herbal textbooks and research studies confirm a wide range of health benefits from the use of lavender. That’s because the different parts of the plant contain chemical compounds that positively affect your body.
“These compounds include flavonoids, which are also found in vegetables and fruits, and coumarin. Both have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant actions,” explains Dr. Lin. “Lavender essential oil is just as powerful and contains important compounds such as linalool. Linalool has been shown to reduce anxiety and blood pressure.”
